Doom 3 BFG Hi Def version 2.5 (for BFG edition of game) install and run RBDoom3bfg from your desktop. Higher poly models, tga textures, and effects including soft shadows (RBDoom3bfg). This version enables muzzle flashes in the engine, more vertex memory for mods, and defaults fs_resourceLoadPriority to 0 so you no longer need to add it for mods. Also higher poly terrains and map models, ROE textures, and more.

For 2.5 only. Latest version of RBDoom3BFG.exe with my little changes. Also enables muzzle flash shadows, fireball shadows, brass stays longer, fixes the double barrel raise sound, removes the multiplayer hit beep. Unzip and extract to your Doom 3 BFG directory. Update 2.6c added Sikkmod's blood refections. Screenshots click

new version coming soon will feature: added new animated glowing parts to the plasma gun and grenades, and replaced the metallic look on the bfg with a green glow animation that makes the bfg parts flash green lights

Installation: Extract the DOOM3_My_Own_Edition_v0.25.zip into the doom 3 directory (not the base folder!). Run Doom 3, select the Mod "DOOM3 My Own Edition v0.25", start a new game and select a difficulty. Note: Resurrection of Evil comes with patch 1.2, but this mod needs the newest patch 1.3 of DOOM3!

This is my personal config for Overthinked Doom 3. It should be an perfect compromise between both Performance and Ultra config files. Changes made: Toned down Ultra config file. Disabled: Soft Shadows and SSIL. Runs great on my rig: Intel Core i5 3350P@ 3.1 GHZ, Asus R9 270X 2GB, 8 GB of RAM.

Doom 3 BFG Hi Def version 2.7 (for BFG edition of game) install and run RBDoom3bfg from your desktop. Higher poly models, tga textures, and effects including soft shadows (RBDoom3bfg). This version I re did all the textures not in the wolfen, or monoread texture packs. Every texture has been improved. Also a few engine changes to RBDoom3BFG like enabled soft shadows for intel drivers, updated to ffmpeg 2.9 dll files and support, latest from RBDoom3bfg repository as well. Screenshots click

Patches 2.7 to 2.7a, Fixes issues with terrains on Commoutside. Improved the Mancubus texture and some other model textures. Some more Phrozo mod 2 effects added and tweaked.

Pre-Beta Version 1.4 may only feature 1 new level "Map08 Tricks And Traps" but what i've changed this time should alter gameplay and result in a much closer feeling to the original, and you'll be switching weapons more often :) but be careful on the Acid etc we still need a radiation suit if you can help me with that check out the join the team section on the forum at our website
